According to "Inhibition of Al Alloy Corrosion by Chromates," aluminium chromate, Al2CrO3, acts as a self-healing alloy as well as an anti corroding coat. Not only is this alloy capable of healing itself, but also it has an extreme strength.

We use this alloy to replace the steel wires in 2018 submarine cable. Not only is the alloy as strong as steel wires but it can reset external damages on the cable, not accumulating damages. We hope that this alloy will reduce the internet issues due to the damages on the cable.
