Optical Fiber (1)

Optical Fiber (1)

An optical fiber is the main tool to transmit data. It is the same fiber as 2018 Submarine Communications cable.

Petroleum Jelly (2)

Petroleum jelly is the main protector of the fiber optics (optical fiber) by not allowing any contacts with the fiber. We use the same jelly as 2018 submarine cable

Aluminium Chromate (3)

Aluminium Chromate, Al2CrO3, is a self-healing alloy. Using this alloy, the cable can fix damages due to the shark or unexpected attacks. We use this alloy instead of a copper tube.

Graphene Layer (4)

Graphene is known as a carbon allotrope, made with carbon atoms. It is known for its extreme strength. We use this layer to reduce the damage on the core, the fiber, in order to prevent internet issues.

TaAs Crystal (5)

TaAs is the most famous and the most common Weyl semimetal. It has no energy loss when electrons are transferred through this crystal. It can provide enough power to transmission circuits with an efficiency of 100%.

Polycarbonate (6)

Polycarbonate is mainly used for heat resisting. It has a high specific heat capacity and therefore, it prevents a permanent change of the cable when the cable is heated.

Mylar Tape (7)

Mylar tape prevents the seawater to go inside the cable as well as electricity leakage. It is necessary for the cable in order to perform the best. We still use it for the second outermost material/layer.

Polyethylene (8)

Polyethylene is one of the most common plastic worldwide. Similar to mylar tape, it is electric-insulator. Because of its low cost, we decided to use it for the outermost layer of the cable.
